David ten Have

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dave was co-founder and CTO of New Zealand's #1 design-led Microsoft web development firm, Provoke. He built a team which created a multi-million dollar valuation while servicing customers like the New Zealand Fire Service, The National Bank of New Zealand and the Department of Internal Affairs. Prior to that Dave was a senior developer at Advantage Group, the largest publicly traded e-business company in New Zealand, and more recently was co-founder of Celsias, a web 2.0 solution to the climate change crisis. Today Dave leads Ponoko and product development.

Derek Elley

Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer

Derek was co-founder and CEO of First Rate, the region’s #1 Internet marketing agency tracking over $1 billion in customer revenues. Successfully sold to Q (ASX:QXQ) in December 2006, some customers included NewsCorp, Saatchi & Saatchi, Fonterra, Telecom, Air New Zealand, Contact Energy, The Warehouse and Trademe. Derek was also co-founder and CEO of Sparkbox, a pioneer in New Zealand’s angel investment industry. He also co-founded Calcium, an email branding software company and Celsias, a web 2.0 solution to the climate change crisis. Today Derek leads Ponoko strategy and communications.

Dan Emery

Designer Relations

Dan is an award-winning industrial designer, previously with a leading furniture design company, Design Mobel. He graduated top of his Victoria University class in 2006 with a thesis that explored the application of digital technologies in design and manufacture. Dan’s thesis resulted in the digital production of a table that was a finalist in various design awards and won best design from the Dowse Museum. Today Dan leads Ponoko designers and digital making.

Josh Judkins

Community Manager

Josh was a community leader for Superstruct, the world's first massively multiplayer forecasting game from the Institute for the Future. He developed a passion for engaging with others during 10 years in the theater and live event industry, and turned his focus to web-enabled communities - from vintage game machine collectors through to the light hearted underground world of dance quests. Today Josh is excited to be leading the Ponoko community, and helping its members make their ideas real.

Ross Stevens

Board Advisor

Ross might be considered an industrial design icon of New Zealand. He is a senior lecturer at Victoria University School of Design and as a co-founder of Designledfutures he secured Nike (USA) as a customer. Some other customers include Philippe Starck (Paris), Fisher & Paykel, B&W Loudspeakers (England) and the Museum of New Zealand. Ross is also the design director of Plinius Audio and of Listen Audio (India).

Graham Hill

Board Advisor

Graham is the founder of Treehugger.com, a leading source of news, solutions and product information dedicated to driving sustainability into the mainstream. With over 2.5 million unique monthly visitors and ranked #22 in the world by Technorati, Discovery Communications purchased Treehugger in 2007. Past businesses include forays into fashion, web-development, viral email and plant-based air filters. In 1995, with his cousin, he started and grew the web-developer, SiteWerks, to 60 people doing work for large companies such as Microsoft and sold it to a New York company in 1998. Additionally, he owns a product business that sells a New York souvenir he designed a few years ago into 150 stores including MOMA. Graham has a Bachelor of Architecture with distinction from Carleton University in Ottawa and did advanced studies in Industrial Design at E.C.I.A.D, Vancouver.

Fred Durham

Board Advisor

Fred is co-founder and CEO of Cafepress.com, the world’s largest product personalization company. Cafepress has a community of over 6.5 million members, averaging 11 million unique visits each month and adding roughly 45,000 new, unique products each day. Before starting CafePress, Fred and business partner Maheesh Jain launched a series of companies – most failed. In 1999, taking the best elements from two of their failures, they launched CafePress. Since then, Fred has steered the growth of CafePress from two people in a dusty garage to being the recognized leader in user generated commerce with over 400 employees in two locations.
